The canyon is beautiful year-round. Summer (October to March) brings lush green vegetation and waterfalls at their most powerful. Winter (May to August) offers clear skies and cooler temperatures ideal for hiking.
The full Panorama Route is approximately 100km and takes a full day with stops at all major viewpoints and attractions. We pace the journey to allow plenty of time for photography and exploration.
Most viewpoints have safety barriers. The Graskop Gorge Lift descends 51 meters in an enclosed elevator. If you prefer, you can skip certain lookouts while still enjoying the canyon from comfortable vantage points.
The Panorama Route is the gateway to Kruger National Park. We can easily extend this package to include safari days in Kruger, creating the perfect combination of scenery and wildlife.
